Boston NCSY & JSU Summer 2020

At Greater Boston NCSY, we recognize that parents and teens are disappointed that many summer programs have canceled and teens will now be home for much of the summer. We understand the vital role NCSY plays in providing meaningful and engaging local programs for our community. During this challenging time, that is all the more apparent and necessary. Greater Boston NCSY is committed to giving teens an opportunity to have a fun and amazing summer while still remaining safe.

That is why we are excited to announce: Boston NCSY Summer 2020

Boston NCSY Summer will be offering a variety of programming throughout the summer that includes: day trips, teen minyan, and Dinner and Learn for different groups of teens throughout the week. We are closely following and adhering to the state guidelines. To accommodate as many of our teens as possible this summer, we will be splitting teens into smaller group rotations- 10 teens per group to start- throughout the week.

Dinner and Learn:

Teens are invited to join us for weekly Dinner and Learn’s at specific locations in the community. The DNL’s will allow for teens across Greater Boston to come together in a safe way for a social time and engage in lively in-depth learning discussions on the topics of Jewish Leadership. Amazing Volunteer Opportunity: Project Driveway

Greater Boston teens have led the way in ensuring that all people in our community can get access to the groceries they need. Project Driveway was started over 2 months ago by two NCSY teens to provide shopping free of charge for anyone who feels uncomfortable going out to shop during this pandemic. In a short time, over 25 teens have joined the team to help manage orders and do deliveries. To date, Project Driveway has done over $20,000 is shopping for community members in the Greater Boston area.

As Project Driveway continues to expand, all teens are invited to sign up and join our ever-growing Project Driveway team. There are so many ways that teens can help- managing orders, managing payments, shopping, marketing, and community relations.
